Based on the information found Deaths related to alcohol up to 3.3 million people or 5.9% of all deaths. An analysis of 5years (2005 -2010) of alcohol consumption in different regions of the world has found that Asian consumers are likely to rise when compare to the other regions. This means that countries in the Asian are the target alcohol market. Hence the government should aware of the problems that would ensue if there is no comprehensive policy lack of political commitment and lack of involvement of civil society.

"Thailand is recognized as a strength in alcohol policy but the main weakness was a significant infringement of the alcohol law which include the marketing among youth, women, the claims of social responsibility. Moreover, the Free Trade Agreements has to be observed because it is another problem affecting the alcohol control policies.  Due to businesses use this opportunity to government to open alcohol market, lower taxes, free trade of alcohol and reduced trade restrictions on imports. This goes against the principles of trade, to consider the moral and social order. The conference will be an opportunity to exchange experience learned from other countries and to emphasize the strength of the alcohol policy of Thailand. There will be getting together to observe the alcohol marketing of the business. Moreover, to create a network of cooperation in each countries to approach the stronger in alcohol policy" Mr. Teera said.
